Record-breaking quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, Drew Brees, continued his success alongside returning Lance Moore during Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Saints scored a victory over the Buccaneers with a final score of 35-28. Brees completed 27 out of 37 passes for 377 yards and totaled four touchdowns. Garrett Hartley, kicked each touchdown. In the first quarter, Marques Colston caught a 17-yard pass from Brees. By the second quarter, Brees successfully threw a 9 yard pass to Darren Sproles, a 48 yard pass to Joe Morgan, and a 20 yard pass to David Thomas, consecutively. The third quarter was seemingly uneventful, a trend which is not too foreign to the Saints. However, by the fourth quarter, Pierre Thomas ran 5 yards, after a kick from Hartley, and secured the Sanits’ victory.

A common problem seen with the Saints victory is the decline of performance after the second quarter. The Buccaneers were seemingly steady with two touchdowns in the first quarter, one in the second and one in the fourth. Buccaneers players Dallas Clark, Vincent Jackson and Tiquan Underwood seemed to together do for their team what Brees did for the Saints. Connor Bath is the Buccaneers kicker. The Buccaneers finished with a strong quarter, nonetheless, the Saints remained ahead the whole game.
